The plot: A sax player and a singer meet in New York on V-J Day and become music partners and then members of the same touring band. They get married, peak as couple when she’s the lead singer of his touring band, start to crumble when she gets pregnant and goes to New York and break apart when her solo career takes off and his plunges into obscurity.
