A Dreamy Musical When the Gershwin Brothers wrote "Girl Crazy" in 1930, they never dreamt that 62 years later the show would be the subject of a new and fabulous revival. |

Mike Ockrent, with the help of Ken Ludwig, took the idea of the original, added more songs and the result was a musical that is a dream come true for any musical fan. This is a true festival of light, color, rhythm and magic, where everything is perfect. So forget the PHANTOM, LES MIZ and others of the kind, this is the real thing. For many years to come, it will always be remembered as the show that brought back the golden age of Broadway. This is one of the best musicals I ever saw and one that I will always remember until the end of my days. A trully remarkable show that exceed all my expectations. |

The London Cast Kirby Ward and Ruthie Henshall (a star on the making) were terrific as the leads of the fabulous London production. In fact, all of them acted, sang and danced as great pros. Together, they gave us a contagious show of which we didn't want to leave. |

She Got Rhythm This show wouldn't have been such a big hit if it wasn't for Susan Stroman (she deserved all the awards she won) choreography. Working close with Ockrent she brought life to the dance numbers, which are of a kind rarely seen on musical in recent years. This lady really has rhythm and imagination. |
| From the breathtaking "I Got Rhythm" that ends act one, to the original "Slap That Bass", not to mention the funny "I Can't Be Bothered Now"; every number is a showstopper. More than any other contemporary choreographer, she's responsible for putting the dance back on Broadway. | ![]() |
